Every child starts with a free trial and assessment with one of our qualified teachers. It takes about 30 minutes, there is nothing to pay, and you are under no obligation to enrol afterwards.

What happens at the trial and assessment

We get to know your child
A qualified teacher spends time with them one to one, in a relaxed setting. No pressure, no exam conditions.

We find out where they are
A short written assessment in Maths and English shows us exactly which topics are secure and which need work. This is not a test they can pass or fail.

We talk you through it
You get an honest picture of where your child is against expectations for their year group, and a clear recommendation. If we do not think we are the right fit, we will tell you.
There is no cost and no obligation at any stage.

Is the trial really free?
Yes. There is no charge and no obligation to enrol.
How long does it take?
Around 30 minutes, plus a short conversation with you afterwards.
What ages do you teach?
Ages 5 to 16, from Key Stage 1 through to GCSE, in Maths, English and Science, including Physics, Chemistry and Biology.
Does my child need to bring anything?
No. Just bring your child. If you have a recent school report it is useful, but not essential.
Will my child be tested?
They will do a short written task so we can see where they are, but it is not a pass or fail exam and we tell them that.
What happens after the assessment?
We explain what we found and recommend a starting point. You decide in your own time.
Do you teach online as well?
Yes, though trials and assessments are for in-centre tutoring. For online lessons, browse our online tutors.
